According to my read, Nurses Day has been celebrated since 1965.
Why choose 12th May?
Because it is a the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale.
Who is Florence Nightingale?
She is the founder of modern nursing.
If i'm not mistaken, the theme of Nurses Day this year are
"Closing the Gap: Increasing Access and Equity"
